William R. Wright was taken into custody on Tuesday, June 18 following an "extremely lengthy investigation," said prosecutors in a release.
Authorities say the charges stem from a death at Springfield's Scenic View Apartments nearly two years ago. Wright is accused of multiple felonies including drug delivery resulting in death and possession with intent to deliver, the DA's Office said.
He's being held on a $750,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 1, court records show.
